As we get ready to open up shop, I thought it would be appropriate to highlight why Reaper Supply Co is more to me than just a clothing brand or a money making scheme.
For as long as I can remember I've been captivated by action sports, from skating and BMX as a kid through to Mountain Biking as an adult. Like most of us I love the thrill of action sports, and the feeling of letting go of anything else in the moment to truly focus on the intricacies of the sports. But despite my love for the flow state and freedom of action sports, it's the culture that keeps me invested once the bike is cleaned up and put away.
Most fans of action sports find themselves living, and breathing their passion in all aspects of their life. Through the content they consume, to the way they articulate themselves in conversation, and of course by the clothes they wear on their back. Most of us, introverted and extroverted choose to share our sports with others, to feed off that electric energy that you can only generate through sheer passion and excitement. We surround ourselves with others who care as deeply about our respective culture as we do, and that is at the heart of Reaper Supply Co.
This brand isn't fast fashion, cheap designs, or year round discounts. I want to build a community riders, skaters and outcasts who believe in the same element of culture that I do. To bring people together through a creative outlet is a privilege and something I can't wait to explore further as the brand develops.
